Jalapeno Cornbread

[print_link] This little gem comes to us from New York in the stratosphere of Long Island City. Jalapeno Corn bread at its best.

  • 1 can cream style corn
  • 1 box corn bread mix (such as Jiffy brand)
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup grated cheese
  • 1/2 onion, chopped
  • 4 oz. can of green chiles or jalapenos

Pre heat oven to 350
Grease / oil pan – many prefer cast iron
Heat pan in oven
Combine all ingredients and pour into pan!
Bake one Hour.
